Bill Jones

Director

Bill Jones is a retired fire pump manufacturer representative having served as such for over 25 years. Prior to this he was employed by Virginia Pipe and Supply, Virginia Sprinkler and Wes Way Fire serving in several positions, all under the VSC, Inc umbrella of companies.

Bill has served on the golf planning committee since year one and enjoyed playing and being on a winning team several times over the early years of the contest.

Hobbies include cooking, collecting antique fire equipment, sprinkler materials, and cooking and judging BBQ contests and teaching various topics. His collection of fire equipment includes 109 fire hydrants, 12 fire trucks, along with numerous hose and extinguisher carts. His love of cooking came from his mother and now enjoys cooking for groups of families and friends. Over many years his helping with local fire departments, public fire safety and disaster pre planning, earned him the 2009 Virginia Governors Awards for Excellence in Fire Prevention.

Bill is married to his wife Mary and they have a son, Lee who is a Landscape Architect.
