The AFSA Virginia Chapter is proud to support Homes For Our Troops in their mission to build and donate specially adapted custom homes for severely injured post-9/11 veterans.
One of our Chapter Directors, Jason Gill, has been leading efforts on the ground for this year’s project. The work is already well underway — Jason and his son recently completed the rough-in installation and passed both hydrostatic and rough-in inspections, marking an important milestone in the build.
General Air Products Inc. has once again stepped up in support of this effort and is generously donating the pump and tank for the project. THANK YOU!!!
This home is being built for Army veteran Brian Pearce, and we are honored to play a small role in helping create a home that will provide him greater independence and quality of life. The home is currently scheduled for completion in April, with a key ceremony planned for late April or early May.
🔧 Upcoming Work & Volunteer Opportunities
• Week of 3/23: Plating out the system and tying in the pump/tank. Assistance would be appreciated — especially anyone with a power machine on their truck to cut the riser and tie-in pieces. Contact Jason Gill for more info! jgill@cgfireinc.com
• Second HFOT Project: We have already started a second Homes For Our Troops house in Spotsylvania. Plans are approved and rough-in begins 3/26, and volunteers are welcome.
Projects like this are a powerful reminder of what our industry and community can accomplish when we come together in service of those who have sacrificed for our country.
