Our chapter gathered on September 23rd at the Williamsburg Hilton for a full and engaging Members Meeting ahead of our annual golf tournament!
We heard updates from all committees — from legislative and apprenticeship efforts to community projects, education, and social media — and discussed several exciting initiatives for the year ahead.
A highlight of the afternoon was surprising Jack Medovich, Mike Meehan, and George Wagner (not pictured — presented during the golf tournament the following day) with Lifetime AFSA VA Chapter Membership Awards, recognizing their exceptional contributions and dedication to excellence within our chapter. 
We also want to extend a special thank you to our guest speakers Katy Llywellyn and Leslie Baruch with Central VA Burn Camp for sharing the incredible impact of their work — and to Katy for sharing her personal journey that left more than a few eyes watering.
Additionally, thank you to Bob Caputo and Linda Biernacki from AFSA National for joining us and offering valuable national updates and support to our chapter.
