The Virginia Chapter of AFSA is pleased to offer this year’s $1,000 scholarship to Brooklyn Monell!
This scholarship is offered each year to a current high school senior planning to attend college, career training, or another approved educational institution in the fall. The opportunity is extended to seniors who are related to members of the fire sprinkler industry.
Brooklyn’s application was unanimously selected by the Board of Directors and was officially announced at the board meeting on June 3rd, 2025, where she was recognized as this year’s scholarship recipient.
We are proud to award Brooklyn this scholarship in recognition of her commitment to serving others through a career in healthcare. She will be attending Longwood University this fall to pursue a degree in nursing, and we are confident she will go on to make a meaningful impact in her field.
There is no doubt she will be successful, and our Chapter is honored to support her journey toward a future in nursing – Congratulations, Brooklyn!
