Exciting Update from AFSA VA Chapter’s Recent Meeting!

On 2/13/24, our AFSA VA Chapter members gathered for a fantastic meeting at Regency Mall, where the brand new AFSA VA Chapter window display was unveiled for the first time to our members! 🌟

The day was filled with engaging discussions, delicious moments, and valuable insights. ACE Culinary Arts Students treated us to a delightful catered lunch, setting the perfect tone for the event. 🍽️

We were honored to have two exceptional guest speakers:

🔥 Program Feature: Joe Saffer from American Fire Systems shared his expertise on the intricate relationship between sales, project management, and design, emphasizing the crucial role it plays in the field. Joe enlightened us on the importance of protecting and documenting ourselves at every step, as well as building strong relationships with AHJs (Authorities Having Jurisdiction). Plus, he highlighted the opportunities for involvement with the fire service in the areas where we work.

💡 Vendor Presentation: Chad Waldridge representing Core and Main provided a comprehensive overview of the internal operations of Core & Main. Chad delved into the wide array of services they offer, including materials and fabrication.

Perfect timing for this enlightening experience, as February is CTE (Career and Technical Education) month! 🌐💙 It’s a great opportunity to celebrate the importance of technical skills and education in our industry.

A big thank you to our speakers, the Henrico ACE Culinary Arts Students, and all our members who made this event a success! 🔗💙 Stay tuned for more updates and opportunities to connect with AFSA VA Chapter. hashtagAFSAVAChapter hashtagFireSafety hashtagCTEMonth 🔥
